This policy explains how Proof LLC, Inc. (“Proof,” “we,” “us”) handles personal information in connection with proofindata.com (the “Site”) and our related publications and business communications.
We are a consulting firm, not an advertising business. We do not sell personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors to this Site.
What is active today
- No accounts, logins, or web forms on the Site.
- No analytics or advertising trackers currently deployed.
- No cookies set by Proof.
- Server logs are generated by our hosting provider (Google Cloud).
- Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
- Email is the only way to contact us, at sales@proofindata.com.
This box describes current practice and is updated when it changes. The sections below also describe categories of processing we may introduce — such as analytics or an email newsletter — so you can see in advance how they would be handled.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us directly
If you email us, subscribe to a publication, or engage us for professional services, we receive the information you choose to provide. That typically includes your name, email address, employer, and the contents of your message or engagement.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting infrastructure records standard technical information. This is inherent to how the web works and cannot be switched off without breaking the Site.

Analytics
We do not currently run analytics on the Site. If we add analytics, we will use it to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are read, on what kinds of devices, and from which broad regions — and not to identify individual visitors or to target advertising. Where the tool supports it, we will enable IP anonymization and disable data sharing for advertising purposes. We will update the box above and the “last updated” date when this changes, and where the law requires consent, we will ask for it before any non-essential analytics loads.
Publications and mailing lists
If we publish a newsletter and you subscribe, the platform hosting it will process your email address and engagement data (such as whether a message was opened) on our behalf, under its own privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any message, which ends the subscription immediately.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Proof does not currently set cookies on the Site. Should we introduce them, they would fall into these categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function; these do not require consent.
- Analytics or performance — used to measure aggregate usage, as described above.
- Preference — remembering choices such as a dismissed notice.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where it applies.
3. Third parties that process data for us
We keep third-party services to a minimum. Those currently involved are:
- Google Cloud Storage — hosts the Site and generates the server logs described above.
- Google Fonts — serves the typeface used on the Site. Loading a font sends your IP address and user agent to Google. If you prefer to avoid this, browser extensions that block third-party font requests will prevent it; the Site remains readable.
- Email and calendar providers — handle correspondence you send us and meetings you book.
If we later add an analytics provider, newsletter platform, or scheduling tool, we will name the category here. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
4. How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To respond to enquiries and carry out professional engagements.
- To send publications you have asked to receive.
- To meet legal, tax, and contractual obligations.
We do not use the information described in this policy to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
5. Legal bases (for visitors in the EEA and UK)
- Legitimate interests — operating and securing the Site, and responding to business enquiries.
- Consent — for newsletters and any non-essential analytics or cookies, where required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract — where processing is necessary to deliver services you have engaged us for.
- Legal obligation — where retention or disclosure is required by law.
6. Retention
Server logs are retained for a short period consistent with our hosting provider's defaults and our security needs. Business correspondence and engagement records are retained for as long as the relationship is active and thereafter as required for legal, tax, and professional obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. Residents of California may additionally request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and may opt out of sale or sharing — noting that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
To exercise any right, email sales@proofindata.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where personal information is transferred out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
9. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a small consulting firm handling limited personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Site is directed to business professionals and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and we will revise the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes — such as introducing analytics or a newsletter — will also be reflected in the summary box at the top of this page.
