CEO, Managing Director
Nathan Woodman is the founder of Proof, a business whose mission is transforming data-rich organizations into new media companies.
As a strategic advisor and technical designer, Nathan is responsible for helping companies identify and capitalize on their commercial opportunities at the intersection of media, data science, engineering, and product.
In his career within advertising and technology, Nathan has worked across ad-tech start-ups, consulting and advertising agencies. Nathan began his career at the height of the first dot-com boom with one of the first ever digital marketing agencies, HookMedia. As a product designer, he led the creation of Artemis, now credited as one of the first Data Management Platforms (DMP). After graduate school and an internship at Google in the retail co-op marketing vertical, Nathan rejoined Havas as SVP of Corporate Development for Havas Digital. Here, he launched the industry's first programmatic Agency Trading Desk, Adnetik, as co-founder and COO. As a General Manager at IPONWEB, the industry’s leading ad-tech development and machine learning company, he ideated and incubated the industry’s first machine learning solutions for bid shading and incrementality optimization. Most recently, Nathan was the Chief Data Officer of Havas Media US where he built the framework for an identity resolved audience activation platform across programmatic, walled gardens and TV. It was here that he recognized the opportunity to help brands connect their data to the media environment.
Nathan holds a BA in Philosophy and Communications from Boston College and an MBA with a concentration in Marketing Science from Babson College. Nate graduated from Babson with the prestigious Lewis W. Mustard award, having earned the highest GPA in the class.
Nathan lives in Essex, MA on the North Shore of Boston with his wife Christine and five kids. He enjoys spending time with his family and looks forward to hosting an annual charity event 'Ales Over ALS', an amateur beer brewing competition which raises money to support individuals living with ALS.
Fun fact: On July 3, 1916 Nathan’s great grandfather, Lawrence “Chubby” Woodman invented the Fried Clam in Essex. His family now owns and runs a restaurant and if you ever visit him in Essex, he can help you cut the line.
